I need to know about the most it would cost. A neighboring property owner has the right to use a spring on my property. I want to buy that right from them so that they will have no more rights to be on my property. I believe an appropriate price might be a portion of the cost for them to dig a well.

well it depends on the company, location, and depth. your average cost is approximatly $2,000. however most companies will guarantee it for ruffly $3,500. a guaranteed well means that they will dig to any depth necassary to ensure there is water in that well.

Ohhh a lot. First are the environmental studies to see if the water source can support both homes. How deep it need to be dug. My parents had looked into digging a new well on their property and it was going to be near $40,000 and they already had previous surveys and depths from the 1960's .
