I dont even think they can pull you over for JUST the tint. at least thats how it is here in MN, you have to be doing something else wrong first ( a secondary offence) . %5 is quite illegal here but i have like 20% on my intrepid and ive been hasseled by the cops too about it, although they didnt make me rip it off. I think the cop was saying he would take your friend to jail for not listening, not the tints. You know how cops are... they get off scaring people and bossing them around!!

confident, they are able to actual call for which you eliminate the tints from the front dwelling house windows as this reduces your innovative and prescient, incredibly at night. i'm stunned that they permit youcontinual off with out taking the tint off there and then as they only peel off. i've got in no way considered a heavily tinted windscreen yet i will guess that somebody has had one taken care of that way. the actuality which you have had them on for an extremely long term is rather fortunate for you. You have been certain to be counseled faster or later. the reason "those feds", i assume you propose the police, do it is via the fact they see too many injuries the place drivers in simple terms say "i did no longer see the different automobile/pedestrian/truck because it became darkish" and then they must %. up the products. it particularly is not a superb element of their interest, have confidence me. The tint isn't any situation on rear dwelling house windows although.

In jail..I highly doubt it...unless you have something in your car you shouldn't (i.e. unregistered weapons, drugs, open liquor) in addition to driving reckless etc etc. But you'd probably get a ticket, which is pretty high like ...$20-40 for each window that is tinted too dark. and you most likely can get it removed...and they'd probably not fine you for the tint...or pay the fine..and keep the tint, but risk getting the same fine over if busted again. A lot of people can get away with tint a little darker than the legal limit, and you probably won't get pulled over for it, and will onyl get caught if pulled over for speeding, and then the officer noticed your windows are a little too dark. But if you're going 5% and the legal limit is more like 25%-50%...you risk getting pulled over for tint alone. It's your decision.

Just plain and simple if the law is there and you do somethig the law does not permit then yes you can go to jail.

Most likely you wont. You probably will be fined and have to have the proper tint according to the law.

If you know you are breaking the law then why don't you do something about it before you have to pay or even go tojail.
