You could use 205/70/R14 tires on it, but for a Cavalier, the recommended tires are 195/70/R14. To me personally, it does seem to make a difference if you put properly sized tires on your vehicle. My Cavalier came with 185/75R14 tires on it, and once I changed them to the recommended size, it seemed as if my car was more fuel efficient. The tires you're asking about will fit though, because my mechanic told me that it wouldn't hurt to have your tires 1 size larger or 1 size smaller.
