At which course of a river does it carry the maximum load and why?

What I meant by 'load' was not the amount of water, but the amount of eroded materials it carries.

The lower reachs can carry the largest sediment load, because of the shape of the channel and the amount of sediment it has picked up.

Lower. There are a lot of streams that run in to it and by the lower part it will have collected the most of the water.
