1472.2 miles but that is just to the boarder and via the toll road`s add an extra 100 mile`s if you are going to avoid these ,
You are about to go on a journey of a lifetime make sure you allow for plenty of rest stop`s and plan your route carefully ( fuel stop`s etc ) we went to gibraltar travelling over 2 days cost about £300 return in fuel ( on a hayabusa ) and about £100 in toll roads return ! ferry was about £45 (open return ) . take an extra pillow ( when you get a bit saddle sore sit on the pillow for a while but not all the time ) alternate between the seat and the pillow .

The same distance it is by car, lorry or even walking, presuming your going Dover to Calais then it's roughly 1600 miles.
