last time i checked all corvettes (except the ZR1) are pushrod engines and shouldnt ever need to be replaced, overhead cam engines do though

You shouldn't have to change the cam chain in a Corvette Z06. Corvette engines aren't designed like some of the older Ferraris where you had to have the cam belt replaced every 15-20K miles.

Normally anywhere between 75,000 and a 100,000 miles. Like you said it's a chain and gears, instead of a belt.

i was unaware the cam had a belt. the timing chain really doesnt need to be replaced, unless you somehow break it.
