I believe that this hating Jews thing was started by the Roman Emporer Constantine in the 4th Century when he convened the Council of Nicea in order to decide what to do about the grwing numbers of Christians who were influenced the most by Saul of Tarsus who beat out Jesus' Brother, James to head the Church and turned it from a worship of God to a worship of Jesus.

The truth of the matter is that Pontuis Pilate was not a nice guy and that he had Jesus crucified for leading an insurrection against Roman Rule. Constantine didn't want the Romans blamed so he conveniently shifted the blame onto the Jews. It didn't matter that Jesus was a Jew his entire life and never meant to start his own religion. So, for the last two millenia, the Roman Church has taught that the Jews were to blame for Jesus' crucifixion, and the Jews have suffered for that. It's the same bigotry that still exists today.

Everyone doesn't hate the "jews".

Hitler hated the jews because he felt they were ruining the economy and purity of Germany.

The Pharaohs hated the jews because at the time they were Gods chosen people. Although who knows if that is really true since the Bible is written from their perspective anyway.
