Well it depends on what caused you to miscarry. When i had a miscarriage it was recommended that I up my dose of folic acid from the normal ( over the counter)l dose to 5mg ( prescription only). It worked for me as I have had a healthy son since then and am pregnant again with my third healthy child( had my scan yesterday and everything is ok, thank god.
Best of luck, I know how you feel :- )

How awful for you....gosh what a lot of stress you have gone through. My miscarriage was caused by undiagnosed under-active thyroid disease...so if you request tests ask for this to be checked too. Its common for a women who is lacking in certain hormones to be unable to retain a pregnancy! If you are in the UK I believe that after 3 miscarriages they should begin a testing process to stop you from continuing to go through this before finding out if its just been a run of really bad luck or if you are left untreated for something they have yet to diagnose. If you arent getting much support from your Doctor to have this looked into then Id change Docs. You deserve answers hun. Goodluck x x x

I'd suggest you go back to your Dr's and ask them to refer you to a miscarriage specialist they should be investing why there recurring.
as it's been 4 times there must be an underlying reason behind it, even though you've had children before this there still must be a reason behind it.
but Ive heard of cases where there they have gave some kind of drugs to take during the first few weeks and they've gone on to have an otherwise healthy pregnancy

go back to your gp and tell them that you need to know what is the reason behind the miscaraiges. You should have been refered to a gynea dr after the third one. You may need to find another gp who is a little more sympathetic to you. There is a way of investigating this and having a camera inserted through your cervix and through your belly button, you will need a general aneasthetic for this. This will find out what the problem is and investigate every possibility. I really hope this helps. Dont let the dr push your problems to one side this could be serious or minor. Its important to your dont let them push you around stand your ground. Hope this helps.
Good luck ! ! !

I had a miscarriage then got pregnant with our son..then had 3 more miscarriages before I found out I had PCOS. I had such a high insuline resistance that it caused my body to force out the pregnancies. I got on meds and now have our 2nd child.
I would ask to be tested for PCOS and whatever else they can test you for (chromosomes, etc..)

Four miscarriages....wow are you kidding or what. You need to take it easy and relax more. With that kind of loss you could be putting yourself in danger getting pregnant again. I would seek a OB-gyn for advice before attempting to get pregnant again.
As a Catholic, we say that when a Mother has lost an unborn child, it is a way to inform her that her life must change in order to conceive.
