Got this from a gay guy I used to live with.
Wrap a cube of ice in a tea towel or other thin cloth and hold to your eyelid for a few minutes.
Sorry to hear something or someone has upset you enough to make you cry yourself to sleep.

Start with cold water. Then try cold tea bags after they have been steeped in hot water. If that doesn't work, try some Preparation H - it reduces swelling. Drink plenty of water, it will make you look refreshed. I am sorry you had to cry yourself to sleep. Try to have a happy day.

An eye mask out of the freezer or simply two frozen spoons. Put them on your eyes until the swelling is better.
It works with me after every hangover since I was 16!

Splash cold water in you face and maybe if you do have it, put slices of cucumber on your eyes for 15 minutes and they'll look refresh again. ( works for me)
