Travel throughout the world and California in particular can present many unforeseen dilemmas that may be prevented with a little foresight.
When we think of California does the word Earthquake ring a bell? It should! As a matter of fact at times it should ring a bell quite vigorously.
Earthquakes are an everyday occurrence in California. This may be a frightening fact to most people but rest assured most of the quakes are very small rumblings and often go undetected.
Californians have become accustomed to them and know what to expect, however those of you visiting “The Shaky State” may not realize what is going on.
A lot of people wake up saying, “I didn’t even know we had an earthquake?” or “How did my teeth get way over there?”
For you folks I have prepared a diagnostic plan, which I’ve aptly named Earthquake Detection Guideline Essentials…or EDGE.
This plan will give you an EDGE up on earthquakes and enable you to detect even the slightest tremor.
The plan is simple…
Carry with you a beaker of Nitro-Glycerin. Place the beaker on your nightstand when you go to bed. Balance it near the edge, (You can see why I’ve named the plan EDGE). If an earthquake occurs the Nitro will fall to the floor and awaken even the soundest sleeper. You may now enjoy a peaceful nights sleep in the knowledge the mildest earthquake will not go undetected.

What do you mean by "managing earthquake"? Nothing can be done about earthquakes, and they can't be predicted, we just have to be ready to react when they do happen.
