Can English get SU in Denmark if they live and study there? If not where do I find out what the student fees are?

Firstly SU is the support that students receive for living expenses - app DKK 4.724 or 400 British pounds.

Tuition fees/student fees on the other hand are FREE for all EU and DK citizens for the vast majority of educations.

As an English citizen you can only get SU IF

- You are working or have been working in Denmark OR

- You are married to a Danish citizen or a EU citizen who are working in DK OR

- You are the child of a Danish citizen or EU citizen who are working in DK OR

- You have lived in DK for five years

But even if you can't get SU in DK the minimum wage is very generous, and you would only need to work 10-15 hours a week to support yourself.

You can find more detailed info on SU on http://www.su.dk/ (click "in English")

Have a look on www.studyindenmark.dk, where you can read about all the aspects of studying in Denmark.

On www.ug.dk/internationalt.aspx you can find out which programmes are available in English.

Good luck!

What is SU? And I'm going to be attending Roskilde University and the student fees with tuition are about 8 thousand USD a year.
