Read the leaflet which comes with the pill. Usually you start taking it starting on day 1 of your cycle (the day bleeding begins);
OR the first sunday after bleeding starts. So yes, you will be taking it during a period to start with. It will stop bleeding within 24 hours;

taking birth control for the first time does not have to be on a Sunday, you can change the day by turning the centre peace,if there is a sticker look at the different days on it. when you start your period wait 5 days BUT if you stop before that start taking your first pill...best time for you to take your pill since you are young, remember to take it in the morning when you are getting ready for school. if you forget to do that you have a chance to take later that day...Congrats on becoming a young lady!!!

it depends on the pill, some are sunday starts, some are day-1 starts. when i first started mine (ortho tricyclin) i was to start taking it the sunday after my period started. and then each new pack starts on sunday, and its made it so that my period always starts on tuesday now. read the packaging because it does differ, tho i think most of them are one of the two i said above. if you have any questions, you can call your dr and they can let you know for sure.

You take it on the first Sunday after you start your period. So if you start it on Friday, you would start taking them that Sunday...etc.

You need to call your doctor and get his input on this. You should not have left his office without him telling you HOW HE wants you to take your pill or without asking if he didn't tell you. Call the office and speak to his nurse about this ASAP so you know what to do.

when ur periodstarts u should start taking the pill. if u start it on a a2nd or third day then u hav to take extra pills for the (period's) days u've missed.means if ur period starts on sunday bt u start taking it on wednesday then u hav to take 2pills on wednesday,2pills on thu , and 2 on friday.i m a doctor and knoe it clearly

There is no harm in starting on any day that you want to when you want to. Its really not as strict as people try to make it~

if u take the pill wen your on it will stop bleeding so just say u were going away 4 da week and dont want to be bleeding carry on taking it
