I'm 19 weeks pregnant and I felt the baby move for the first time on Monday. I felt it a few times during the day. It kind of felt like bubbles a few inches below my belly button in the center. I haven't felt any movement since then. Last night and once again this morning I felt a very light tap several times. It's isolated about an inch to the left of my belly button. Could this tap be the baby moving or is it just a twitch or something??

Its the baby moving!Awesome isn't it??? Since its the beginning, you might feel the baby move only once every couple days, but in a couple weeks it will be normal and you will get used to it:)

Have fun!!

Bless your heart! Reading your question just took me back in time to the first time I felt my baby move. Bubbles....that was exactly what it felt like to me. It was that gentle, like a bubble moving and popping inside of me. Later it felt like flutters....I can even remember with one of my babies thinking that it felt like a small fish swimming inside of me.....such beautiful memories. After the first time I could not wait to feel it again. I spent hours lying on my tummy looking at the Sears catalog (it used to be about 4 inches thick and had everything from nursing bras to bassinetes) as I found that would make the baby move more often! lol......
Later on it was such a delight when the baby had the hiccups and we (the older children and I) could watch it make my belly jump with each little hiccup!
You have so much to look forward to! Congratulations and many blessings to you!

I guess,it could be the baby moving. 19 weeks is like 4 mos & 3weeks. The baby would be moving at this stage. But if ur having doubts, you could check with your Doc. Eat right, rest & take care of your baby. Dont think u have anything to worry about. But tell ur Doc, the next time u visit!

CONGRATS!! That's exactly what I felt the first time I felt my son move. Sometimes I have to pay very close attention to it but that's what it is. I feel him the most after I eat and then lay on my back. Enjoy this feeling. GOOD LUCK!!

you should be feeling the baby move around this time it will feel like gas or a flutter at first but soon you will be able to tell the difference the kicks will get stronger as time goes on there is nothing like feeling your baby move inside your womb

Its the baby. You can also get one of those baby monitors from target. It cost about 19.99. I used it everyday to hear my baby girl move. If this is your first you will notice everything. Con grads. My baby is now 7 months and she reminds me of a 9 month old. She is very busy for her age.

It sounds to me like the baby moving, you should be feeling him/her by now. It feels like a flutter. As the baby gets bigger you'll have the same feeling but it will be stronger. Then there's the joy of feet stuck in your ribs when you're really far along =).
