Dodgy. Don't do it, this is completely scam worthy. eBay doesn't hold money, never has. As soon as you make payment through paypal, the money will be in this guys account and I guarantee that you will never see it again. Buying cars on eBay isn't always stupid, you just have to be wary. Never initiate payment procedures until you have seen the car and are satisfied with it's condition and that it isn't a scam. In this case, don't touch it with a barge pole.

It's disheartening to know that thieves and scam artists are alive and well while those with good intentions and giving hearts are on a steady decline.
I want you to know that everytime you scam a store, you're scamming and entire company including the ones who scrape by on small dollar amounts.
Hooray for you.

If they continue to do it, it does have an alert for that type of return.
Also, the stores communicate and once that person's name gets into their database system, it will alert those stores and that person will be investigated.
I help with those databases.
Be safe!

yeah...I think that is retail fraud....
You can sometimes get away with it, but that is why stores ask for your license and take down your info when you don't have a receipt....as someone else said.
Someone else commented that it costs the stores.....true, but it costs all of us too...how do you think stores make up for their losses from retail fraud? maybe raise the prices?
We all end up paying for the few that think they are smarter/more important than the rest of us.....

I must say I wouldn't have the balls to do it (too honest a face), but fair play to her for doing it and getting a result!

That's just wrong!!!! First of all, I wouldn't think of it because I'm just not like that, but if by some chance I did, I couldn't feel right afterwards!!!
