Well the books at least are juvenile and a total rip-off of Tolkien's far superior the Lord of the Rings... so how do you expect the movie to be?

It was very bad. It pretty much jumps from scene to scene with practically no transition. I was really disappointed because it makes the book look bad.

I thought it was very good, although there are some strong deviations from the book's plot line. Overall, it was a very entertaining fantasy flick.

if you did not read the book, it isn't a bad film.
IF you read the book, it is a major disappointment
