YES HE CAN AND THIS JUST MIGHT BE WHAT BREAKS THROUGH TO THIS GRANDFATHER TO NO LONGER BE A RACIST. I KNOW THAT IS TRUE FOR MY FAMILY. MY OLDEST GIRL IS MULATTO AND MY DAD WAS EXTREMELY PREJUDICE. HE LOVES MY DAUGHTER. WHEN I MET MY HUSBAND, [HE IS WHITE] HE AND HIS FAMILY WERE PREJUDICE, BUT NO LONGER ARE THAT WAY. THIS IS WHAT MY DAUGHTER DID IN OUR FAMILY.

Before answering your question, please check your facts if the grandfather is really racist: that he believes in the superiority of white people and that black people are worthy of hatred, indifference and derision. Perhaps your impression may not be entirely true.
However, if it is really true, it is difficult to see how a racist grandfather would ever accept his part-black or black grandson for what he is - a black person, at least in his eyes. Loving, as I see it, includes acceptance of the person for what he is. Even if the grandfather shows some affection for his own grandson, for his daughter's sake, for example, perhaps there would be some limits to it.
If the grandfather has been a racist all his life, please give him enough time to adjust to the situation. If you understand human nature, you would know that it takes time and patience for people, especially elderly ones, to adjust to something very novel, even offensive to them.

That is a hard question to answer because if you love someone you accept them for everything and anything they are or have to offer just everything. I think someone who is racist is very ignorant and close minded but the question is can an ignorant person really love someone. I think he would like to but i dont know if he can truly love him because if he did it wouldnt matter what the color of his skin was. I bet hes a beautiful person!

i have under no circumstances understood why human beings use the note racist as if its this extensive sweeping definition of someone, like declaring they seem a banker. Prejudice is a complicated concern. i'd say maximum individuals have some minor degree of prejudice in a unmarried way or yet another. The more desirable victimized the more desirable the degree and the rhetoric. basically because someone believes something prejudicial i do not imagine meaning terrible human being. i imagine it ability incorrect human being who really would not get it yet, needs to be shown the bigger image. truly than giving human beings the blanket description of "racist", human beings might want to imagine of it as "has pretend prejudicial beliefs". actual in a lot of circumstances. Now i'm not talking about the individuals who opt for each man or woman of yet another race hung. i'm talking about the black guy who falsely believes white each and every man or woman is continuously attempting to maintain him down. Or the white guy who blames all black human beings for the crime in his community. those topics are complicated and there are various comprehensible motives human beings come to carry prejudices. They shouldn't basically be referred to as racists and condemned as a human being, except they have done something really egregious. There i have spoken my piece.

That's hard to say. If the mother is a good person and the kid is a good person then yeah, I would hope so. If the mother is someone he doesn't like then he may not. He may see the kid and the mother as one being.

Yes, he can! I know it seems weird but the grandfather does not see her as a race but as his granddaughter.

Possible is that he loves him, but he is not accepting him. he loves him because he loves her doughtier. maybe this is a moment he can change his racist believes and his grandson can teach him to love differences.

If the grandfather is racist, then he really does not love himself. If he does not love himself, he can't truly love others.
