Actually, but with no offense I might suggest the same as number one did, but with doubt about the siding substance. Here in the USA " Hardi Plank" is a "board" type siding, but is a composition, essentially MDF.
I recently answered a similar Q.

I'd never use it, but I know the customer is always "right" even when they aren't.

Not certain what you intend in a "conversion", if you mean to install, I'd suggest DON'T! If you wish to remove it and design a new siding effort, I'll applaud you.

Without further details certainly the options are many. In the Q I mentioned I suggested a fiberglass based stucco and elastomeric paint.

If the siding you are replacing is more than a few years old, most likely you will have a hard time matching it and would need to replace all siding to maintain uniformity. There are a couple of ways to get around full replacement if the damage is located to a relative area. For example, if there is significant wood rot along the lower portion of your siding, you can make a level seam and replace the lower portion with new siding that is similar and/or coordinates well.

you need to ask a better question than that. No body knows what your talking about. I know its Concrete siding, but what do you want to know about it? I have hung this siding on 4 houses and i love it!
