And I know sweet, f all, about what i do now with it. What type of batteries do I need? Is it just batteries I need, does it come with any built in games?

Basically the guy who had it has just got his hands on a PS3 and has given me this PSP as is cause hes the type that once hes got his new toy the old one goes in the bin, and while I would like to use it, im very technologically backwards. What do i do from here? lol.

You have to charge the PSP. Ask the guy if he has the charger. Basically, the PSP has gaming and multimedia features (although I haven't got to try them out) and it can browse the internet, provided that you have a wireless access point. I think you can buy a special USB cable from Gamestop for $10 that you hook the cable from your comp to your PSP and you transfer pictures and music etc., although I didn't get to try this, since it was my cousin's and I didn't have the cable. Oh, and it'd be a good idea to buy a Memory Stick, since that's actually where all your stuff goes (saves, files) hehe.

They use special proprietary rechargeable batteries made just for the PSP. I think they are around $30. Games are anywhere from $10 (on clearance) to $40.
