I don't think he will.I am not saying he can't,and I will pray for him,but he has to really want to recover and the world has to let him know that none of this is his fault. How does a child learn good sex from having been exposed to deviation for so long?He may not be able to control what things will excite him,not saying he enjoyed these acts,I am sure he hated them, but still these acts were his introduction to sex and I have always said that a persons first sexual encounter will pave the way for future sexual relations good or bad. This kid will need a very good therapist. He will need an excellent minded and educated person to help him through this.He will have the blessings Of a God who didn't forget his prayers and used a little child to lead him home,so there is hope for him,he can and will be used for some good for other children.I wish him and his family all the luck in the world and I hope others treat them with respect and not revert to pointing fingers at them and saying negative things that would hurt him further and hinder his growth.

I don't think he will ever recover. More importantly there is something really strange with this case. There is a reason more than fear that he did not reach out to his parents. After watching Oprah yesterday with the interview with Shawn and the parents I noticed some strange body language. I was very uncomfy with the whole interview because it just seemed like the truth was not being told about certain things. The mother looks like an ex drug addict which really makes me wonder about the case. And not to mention where is Shawn's real father? His father they have interviewed is his step-dad. There is jsut something so bizarre about this case.
