Yeah he dies, and so did his apprentice, Amanda (just watched it last night). But maybe he set up this one last master puzzle with the husband's daughter as he said at the end. She is in a room with limited oxygen and he has to find her. I'm not sure how they can base an entire movie around this premise, but in the past they kept people from one movie to another. Amanda was in Saw, Saw II and Saw III, Jigsaw was in Saw II and III, Donnie wahlberg and the other detective were in saw II and III, maybe this guy keeps the lagacy and goes forward in Saw IV.

Yes, he did die in the 3rd installment. However, I feel that they left the door open for a 4th installment because the husband was still alive and so was his little girl. So, I kind of figured that they couldn't just leave it like that. I may be wrong, but I would hope that someone would find the little girl. Just my thinking.

You know....Saw is one of those movies where it loses its "umph" after the first one because you know what is going to happen. The same principle is there; just different situations. They should just let it go. Saw II was pretty good and Saw III was okay so just let it be.

Yeah, I think he did die. But he had sort of a pupil that was continuing his torture methods at the end of Saw 3.
