Opie Taylor is Andy Taylor's Son. In the first show, they covered the subject of the death of Andy's wife (Opie's Mom) and also the relationship of Aunt Bea (who was Andy's Mother's Sister, hence HIS aunt.)
Though Opie really gave Aunt bea problems, in the end he begged Andy that she stay, because she didn't know how to bait a hook and she needed someone to help her.
