It would be pretty hard to sum up your question in the space given since entire fields of study are dedicated to this topic. .
In broad terms, however, a few examples will put the impact of industrialization in perspective.
At the beginning of the IR in western europe, it would be pretty fair to say that agricultural methods being used were the same as those that had been practiced for hundreds, if not thousands of years. As a generalization, farming was mostly small scale, ineficient and extremely labour intensive. Farming was essentially a subsistance industry with surplus being sold at local markets. The IR led to the rapid growth of cities and factory towns. This had 2 important impacts on agriculture. First, it created a shortage of manpower for ag production which in turn led to a shortage of food production. Secondly, it created the requirement for an infrastructure for the production and distribution of ag products. There were no supermarkets in the 18th century and no structured way of getting produce to market in the ever burgeoning cities and towns. (By the way, the growth of cities and towns meant wood for building re;impact on forestry)You can see the problem. It didn't take long for market forces to figure out that more efficient means of production and distribution of ag goods were required if the industrial revolution wasn't going to grind to a halt. This led to great social upheaval, land reform etc etc...
Below is a link to an article that gives a nice overview of some of the issues involved.
