ghosts are not conscious energy ... they are residual energy
a left over energy of what once was ...
this is why people report them doing the same movements and actions again and again , as in the case of the Roman soldiers who walked a road that was 15 inches below the modern road and were only shown from their knees up
it is just a memory
this is not the same as spirit which is conscious

There is no such thing as ghosts. Or rather our explanation of what a 'ghost' is may be wrong.
One possible explanation I've thought of is that some places can absorb the energy of a traumatic death and some people can 'tune in' to that energy long after the event and see that person as a 'ghost' reliving their final moments. That would mean that all we are seeing is some 'cosmic reflection' of people who are not realy there.
'Ghosts' may exist but we are not understanding what we are seeing.
Heck! Anything is possible in this crazy universe...

Some ghosts could. Like the ones that interact with people. A residual ghost probably does not, since it does the same thing over and over.

Good question, I think they are probably a reflection of what he/she was like when they were alive. I always thought they remained the same, before they died - you know, unaging and all... but if it were possible for them to have consciousness (the way US humans do - the type that changes and developes), then maybe they'd be a lot different and wouldn't appear to us the way they apprently do?

Yes I believe some ghosts do have a consiousness. Now mind you I have never seen a ghost, but it is something that I believe is very possible.

True, they do have conscious thoughts. That is why time is the witness to ghost anecdotes, some ghosts are bad, some are good.

that depends on what type of ghost it is. if it is a spirit, then yes. but if it is a poltergeist or a recording, then no.
