I think they are called leggings, but they are like baby knitted pants & booties in one. Does anyone know what I mean?? Do they exist??

Knitting Pure and Simple puts out the pattern you are looking for. You can make the leggings with a high waist, low waist, with or without suspender straps and with or without the booties attached. It's a pretty straightforward and simple pattern and costs about $5. It can also be purchased on-line from www.knitwitts.com.

If you know how to knit baby booties, just knit a regular bootie but instead of knitting it and stopping at the ankle, knit up the the thigh. Do two of them that way and then keep both of them on the needle and join the two to go up around the waist. Take care.
