When a guy comes up to you to ask for $2 and says he needs it to catch a bus to get back to the hospital, and he says the hospital doesn't have enough beds, that's why he was kind of kicked out, but he has this sickness and he needs to get back to the hospital.... what would you do? And why?

They will tell you anything to get money for drugs! Offer to pay his fare when he gets on the bus & see what happens.

More than likely it is just a story.

I get hit up like this a lot, Some times I give a buck or so & other times I just say no.

If the story seems true or is real interesting then I will give more often.l

I would give him $10 and tell him to buy himself a sandwich to eat on the bus and ask God to be with him.
Why? Because if that were me I would want someone to be kind

If I had time for it (and didn't have reason to fear him), I'd offer him a ride. That way if he was telling the truth, he'd get more than he asked for, but if he was lying he'd get nothing useful at all.

Sorry. I am a bit jaded. Giving money to strangers on the street is a risk I am less willing to take. When someone approaches me for money, I don't stop to talk, I just keep on walking. It is very dangerous to engage in conversation with a stranger who is asking for money. While you are talking to them, they could knock you over and take your purse or assault you. I would keep on walking.

I wouldn't give him $2 'cause I don't carry money with me.

I would give him $2 just so I wouldn't have to listen to any more of his BS story.

Just buy him the 40 ounce of beer.

i'd give him the $2 to get rid of him, and then wonder if his story was true and then shrug and carry on.
