I am travelling to the Dominican Republic on Feb.06th-13th, do I need to passport to get in to the D.R. or to return to Canada?????

I dont know Canada Laws but the US just made it a law you need a pass port to go anywhere out of the country even Canada. You might not need one to get out of the country but getting back in you cant with out one. + I dont know how it is in Canada but here in the US you wouldn't have enough time to get one now. It is less then a month. You need to find out the laws in Canada for traveling. Call a travel agency maybe. They would know the travel laws.

As of 1/23, any time you leave the US by plane or ship, you need a passport.
Definitely for the DR, definitely if you are flying and NOT driving

I don't think you do unless you are taking a connecting flight within US territory. The best thing is to contact you local dominican consulate or embassy and they can give you their latest information

You just might......I live 15 minutes from Canada and they are telling us that eventually we will need passports....it's always good to have one anyway.......
