yeah. my boss, this tall dorky guy with glasses. his name is jimmy. he thinks he is a martial arts master and that he can beat anyone up, but he's fat and out of shape. jimmys body is weird because above his gut, he is really skinny, but his gut is huge and his legs are disproportionately large in comparison to his arms. his arms are incredibly skinny for the rest of his body. he looks like he swallowed a bowling ball. other annoying things include his voice, which is really high pitched and redneckified. he also reads "political fantasy" novels and says dorky phrases like "to each is own" and "I hear tale". Jimmys also into guns and hunting and he won't pash up an opportunity to inform everyone on how great a marksman he is. In general, he just lies constantly, but he's smart about his lies. he'll tell a whopper, like some bizarre fact that you won't believe but can be looked up, and blend those few truths in amongst his cacaphonous web of lies. some other things he does; he talks a lot of trash about fat women, but he is married to a woman who is almost morbidly obese, he smells like cat pee and baloney, he likes ZZ top and parody music like jeff foxworthy and adam sandler (all of this I despise), and some of his lies are completely over-the-top, like saying that he received oral sex from some of the most attractive girls in his graduating class in the darkroom in photojournalism. my older brother went to school with Jimmy, and he, and alot of people I know have said that Jimmy was the biggest dork in high school. when he says things like this, you just wanna smack'm'! the thing that ticks me off the most is when he takes him self so seriously and thinks he is better than you and trys to give you advice about problems, but you know, no one in their right mind would take advice from a guy like Jimmy! I guess he's not really a bad person or anything, but after about five minutes listening to all of his crapola, you just want to hit him with a shovel or something. how do I handle this? I call him a dumbass and a liar on a regular basis! everyone does! It doen't matter that he is the boss, nobody can have any respect for someone like that. But he's totally okay with it. I figure it is a strategy so that he doesn't have any enemies, he thinly distributes he's likability amongst everyone he encounters so that while no one particularily likes him, he doesn't have any real enemies. (in other words, everyone just thinks of him as some annoying dork, but not much else). its a survival strategy, I think.

I have a couple. One is an arrogant 18-year-old whose girlfriend just had a baby and now he thinks he's a "man".
The other is a 40-year-old woman who thinks she needs to run to the boss and assistant boss every time a rule is the least bit infracted, and yet wails and moans whenever one of her mistakes
is pointed out. You can't tell her any personal stuff because she always comes back with something similar that happened to her, only much worse. I've gotten to the point where I just try not to tell her anything personal. What keeps me from b!!!!ch slapping her is that I'd probably get fired and I need my job.

I have two - One's a tattle tale and a bully. The other thinks he's a ladies man (tho he's married with children) and is always out sick. They are both a waste of a paycheck. It's totally hard to refrain from b@#%h slapping them, but I figure what goes around, comes around.

I only work part time but this guy that works there is very annoying. He is always the first to complain about not getting paid enough, but all he does is sit on his a** all night. Then when I work in the morning I have to do his job and mine! It sucks! I have gone off on him once 'cause I called in and asked if he could cover my shift because my kid was sick. He said no because he had plans to meet his friends at a bar. When I got there I ripped him a new one. He is 35 yrs old and still lives with his mom and has no bills or kids, and HE's the one complaining about not having enough money to drink every night.

I did an extensive question about this in the psychology area of this board! I won't be so extensive here but, yes, I do have a coworker that I hate, despite the fact that i know I should feel more sorry for her than anything. I suppose if she didn't go and tell our boss everything that she thinks me and our other coworkers did bad, I would feel bad for her. Perhaps if she didn't try to join every conversation, perhaps if she didn't blow up about every little thing, perhaps if she wore her dentures when she works (she's 42), I would feel sorry for her. To sum it up, my nickname for her is "Buttface". Need I say more?

Yes. They stand around and complain that this person or that isn't carrying their weight. I refrain from slapping them by not so nicely telling them that neither are they and if they would would shut up and stop blabbing maybe they would carry their own weight.

I am told to take into consideration who it is coming from. Why should I? Why should that person have allowances when others do not? Why is that person allowed to be obnoxious, rude and filthy mouthed while the others are held up to higher standards? If I had the nerve ... maybe one day I will and tell that person off when he is the middle of being rude.

Oh yeah, all she tries to do is to find other peoples mistakes so she can rat them out and get them in trouble. The only reason I don't ***** slap her is because I really need my job. She will hang herself in due time.
