You mean something other than the MLB tour of Japan (almost) every November?

No, the whole idea of the World Baseball Classic is to put the best players from each country against one another and having it every fourth year (I believe?!) is a better way to do it because it will generate more interest than if it were to happen every year.
As far as the thing about arrogance, it's just what they call it. Back in the early 20th century when organized baseball really started there weren't a lot, if any, other countries playing baseball and to change the name of the World Series over a hundred years later would hurt the tradition of the game.
It's really not a big deal, lots of things get labeled the "World's" whatever when they are contested only amongst a select group. How about all of the "World Champions" in boxing and wrestling, the winner of the Super Bowl and the NBA Championship are consider "World Champions" too. It's all in the name. Personally, I think people should find better things to fret about.

No offense to the Japanese league, but I don't think it would be a great series, and the Americans would be likely to beat them easily.
If the recent series played between America and Japan is any indication, the Japanese league still has a ways to go to be competitive with MLB. The American team won 5 and tied one with a lineup that didn't even include most of its best players. At the club level, the discrepancy between the two might not be as large, but it's still significant.
The two leagues are no more even than the NFL and CFL. I like Japanese baseball, but it's a distant, distant second to the major leagues.

Although Japanese baseball is little more than triple A caliber in quality I think it might be a good idea at least to prove that the American Major League is the best in the world. A least the term "World Series" would be much more accurate.

Although I think this would be a nice idea, I would vote against it. We have the World Baseball Classic now, where we can play all different countries. If your talking about just a game or a series once a year perhaps, we are already doing something like that. This year we havd the 2006 All Star Series where it was the USA vs. Japan. They played 6 games against all teh Japan teams in early November. You can check it out here:

I don't know how MLB can call their title the World Series when all teams are based in North America. For this to be the case, MLB teams should play all other countries including Japan. So Yes!

I would have no problem with that. I'd be OK with changing the name to "United States Series" or "The MLB Championship Series" or the "Super Series".
"World Series" doesn't do the American MLB series justice.

That would be cool. It would be a more legitimate World Series.
