Ok, maybe I was too straight laced as a kid (20+ years ago) it seems these kids today are much more open about talking about what I consider adult issues and cussing is not so taboo anymore. Not that they are going around saying it freely, just not hiding it. Another thing they are not hiding is intimate things, such as showing their new underwear (thongs) after going shopping. One kid admitted unashamed that she uses a baby pacifier to help her sleep. Am I just way out of touch or should I be thankful that they are so open with their lives. I try not to act shock and just ask questions because I am genuinely interested. Anyone else dealing with these issues?

Im 18 years old and I hang out with a lot of older people.
I am definately not open to other about things like that but some of my friends are. Like my roommate. She will tell me things that I dont believe I should be hearing because I would think it would be personal. I guess Im sort of old fashion then. :) But not all people are open like that. My boyfriend and I are very private people. What goes on between us, stays between us. Thats the way it should be.
Thats a good question though.

Your parents said the same things about you when you were a kid, just as these kids today will say the same things about their kids 10 years from now.

its fun to talk, i have no secrets no lies because i tell anyone anything and i feel free, i rarely get judged by my actions or past so why keep it hidden, and you have to discuss with your friends intimate things cos who else can you ask about things you dont know about.
