I am intrested in getting some response from YA about the Pros and Cons please give answers with either Pros or Cons but not both.
Also list the reasons by numbers and if they are not self evident
a little explanation. I am curious to see from YA if the benifits outweigh the liabilities have at it readers.

Please readers put your defences down I am not for it and I did not see anything in my questions that indicate that. I just wanted to see if there are more reasons FOR or vice versa.

It's coming soon and the push for it is going to be fueled by big business. More and more companies can't afford insurance for their employees. GM & Ford are already aboard the universal healthcare train. They know taking the burdon of healthcare off they're backs will help make their companies profitable again.

if this is research for home work do the research yourself.
if this is a soft pole question there are more acurate ways of collecting data.
there is no right granted by the constitution for a universal medical health care plan so the government will differ the costs of its health to its citizens.
the pro's are all in favor of the citizen's and the con is cost.
by that I maen :
1.government regulation over pharmisudical manufacturers.
2.governmental oversite of hospital revnue.
3.governmental regulations over insurer's
4.governmental garentee that evry citizen will be able to recieve the proper medication regaurdless of cost because it will be the manufacturer of medicans.
5. loss of jobs in the private sector big business
6.more federal employee's
7.higher federal taxes

Because in life, YOU are the only one responsible for your well being and the well being of your direct family. I am not your daddy or your mommy. If you want the extra in life, if you want the benefits, then WORK for them.
You think health care is expensive now, wait til you combine it with governmental red tape. Be prepared fora 45% tax rate, like in our pot smoking neighbor country from the north.
The government is set up to PROMOTE the GENERAL welfare. Not to PROVIDE the INDIVIDUAL welfare. The government is NOT a charity, nor should it be.

We have had universal health care in Canada it seems forever and I would not have it any other way. It is not perfect though.
I can get in to see my doctor in 2 days but certain surgeries, there is a waiting list. I have heard of some horror stories waiting for cancer surgery but on the other hand, a friend found out he had lung cancer, and his lung was taken out that week.
I don't have to sell our home and into financial ruin if I am sick. I don't have to pay large monthly amounts for private health care and I don't have to worry that if I become sick, my insurance company will give me the boot.
I really think private health care in the USA is tremendous for the 1 - 2% of the wealthiest individuals but the other 98%?

I have a problem with anything the government tries to control. It always ends up costing more. They have raided social security, now they are poised to raise the tax another 1%. I have seen VA hospitals and the care they provide. Can you say minimal? Who is going to pay for this and how?

Pros - Everyone has health care
Cons - Taxes will increase. Less people will want to become doctors since their pay will be controlled by the gov't. Less doctors means longer waits for treatment. Longer wait for treatments mean looking elsewhere for healthcare. Looking elsewhere for healthcare means even more money out of your pocket.

Who will pay for it? If you think your health costs are high now, you will need to work a second job just to pay your taxes if this measure ever goes through. Work hard; the welfare folks with their $100 sneakers, MP3 players, cell phones and plasma tv's are depending on you!

Well, St. Hillary tried it about a decade ago and it flopped. Way way way too much bureaucracy and red tape, limited choices, extremely high costs, lack of competition. In general, the government does a crappy job with most things it gets involved in.

I dont trust the same people that run Amtrack, the Postal Service, and Social Security to manage health care.

We have health care, you just have to pay for it...what you are asking is why doesn't someone else pay for it and the government manage it.
If you think socialism works you will like this idea and nothing I say will change your mind.
