Gene Simmons:

If you put a woman on a pedestal and try to protect her from the rat race you’re a male chauvinist pig.

If you stay at home and do the housework, you’re a pansy.

If you work too hard, there never is time for her. If you don’t work enough, you’re a good for nothing bum.

If she has a boring repetitive job with low pay, it’s exploitation. If you have a boring repetitive job with low pay, you should get off your rear and find something better.

If you get a promotion ahead of her, it’s favoritism. If she gets a job ahead of you, it’s equal opportunity.

If you mention how nice she looks, it’s sexual harassment. If you keep quiet its male indifference.

If you cry, you’re a wimp. If you don’t, you’re insensitive.

If you make a decision without consulting her, you’re a chauvinist. If she makes a decision without consulting you, she’s a liberated woman.

If you ask her to do something she doesn’t enjoy, that’s domination. If she asks you, it’s a favor.

Gene has something to say about everything, and he thinks he's always right. Someone answered that he's an actor. Bang on! He just wants to put on a show and present this image, which, if you seen Family Jewels, sets him in his place. He's just all talk and I find the majority of his statements quite humorous.

He should just pipe up once in a while and concentrate on the band. At least when he sings there's volume behind him to drown him out a bit.

Well, unfortunately, I do think he has some valid points. Like all generalizations, not all of them are true, or they are not true every time, but guys do face these mixed signals from society, the media and indivdual women. Now, what this has to do with this forum, I don't know, unless Gene Simmons is really gay, in which case, that tongue of his has some uses the fans probably hadn't considered.

I can understand his points to some degree, although I don't completely agree with all of them. Humans by nature tend to be dual sided. the pedestal example though-not all women want to be put in a pedestal. Some women do indeed being protected whereas some would prefer independance in fighting their own battles.

Realistically, I think this is fairly one sided and attempts to envelop all women and place them in a box - when in reality all women are different. Over the course of time and through women's liberation a great deal of this has occured in trying to find a balance to men and women.

Overall, he brings forth some interesting points-ones that make you think about a value system from which many of us stemmed.

Yes, I am a feminist, but I do see that men in a modern world have a hard time. But...if this is all they have to worry about, then my heart bleeds for them. I guess it isn't so bad for them. They should try the menopause

I think that is interesting, where did you get this quote from? I thought all Gene Simmons was interested in was selling KISS stuff, and p*ssy.

In my opinion, Gene Simmons is a retard.

Have you heard his "I am Mindy" song he wrote to promote the .1RL?

As though we all live according to the "Gospel According To Gene". He's an actor. I don't care what he says. I don't have to interact with him.
