She is beautiful and smart and has a real get things done attitude the likes of which Washington hasn't seen in years. A real breath of fresh air in DC! Why, even conservatives are softening under her charm and great unifying spirit!

I am a former conservative and I can attest to the truth of your assertions. She is so charming, so just, so brilliant. To know this woman is to love her.

Well, I will way in. I will congratulate Mrs. not Ms. Pelosi and offer her a word of caution as well. I congratulate her on her ascension not always smooth through the ranks to the speaker-ship. I also think it should be noted that she didn't run for elected office until after she had raised her children I believe she was 47. Proving, that you can in fact have it all if you are willing.

Now, having said that I must offer her some cautious notes based on my experience with on of my favorite speakers Newt Gingrich. Those same new fresh faces you ushered in on the wings of bi-partisanship, ethics reform and progressive politics will oust you if you start reverting to the way of those who preceded you. Starkist was a stumble, don't let ethics reform and Iraq be your fall.

Good luck. Oh and as I used to tell (email actually Newt) Do a little history. The title of President of the United States in Congress Assembled ended in 1788. You are Speaker of the House.

They are trying to something about big oil taxbreaks today. I could see the tax breaks in the early 80's when oil was 10 dollars a barrel..but not with record breaking profits. I am so happy things have finally turned around. Your right she is smart and I am so proud of the first woman speaker....Good Job Nancy

Thanks for heading up the Global Warming panel, Ms. Speaker, ma'am.

I find it Ironic that as soon as she opened her mouth about it, the temperature dropped down in the 30's and 40's in Southern California! Too funny!
