I was in school when that came out and the previews made
it look like teens gone wild dealing out random violence,Drugs
Murder, rape... No future we are the future.
But Peter (the leader) was a very smart calculating person who didn't have to live the life he chose other than he
wanted too.
All in all a very good movie that made a lot of people pay a little
more attention to what was going on in school (in 1982)
The fun of this movie is the OMG factor you can't believe how far these kids take things.

Yeah classic (but dated) school movie about gangs of bad asses v's new teacher. Look out for a very young & nerdy Michael J Fox in it.

1984 is the George Orwell (futuristic & bleak classic) book turned into a movie about a totalaterian society controlled by "Big Brother".

Sure.

"Andy is a new teacher and an inner city high school that is like nothing he has ever seen before. The students have to go through a metal detector when they go through the front door and everything is basically run by a tough kid named Peter Stegman. Soon, Andy and Stegman become enemies and Stegman will stop at nothing to protect his turf and drug dealing business."
