Particularly with the philosophy and religion sections?
Example:
Someone ASKS if there is a God and if they are a Christian (for instance - could be any faith or philosophy), will always choose (in this case) the best answer as 'Yes, HIS name Jehovah' thus turning around the question into a pulpit.
Not that believing in God is a bad thing, but can religious people think on their own without having to consult their scripture and quote from it and lambaste if you don't agree?
Why do they do that so much? Or is this another case of where of the loudest screamers getting the most attention?

Since you asked this question in the "psychology" section, I assume you're open to a psychological explanation. That is, we all experience what is called "confirmation bias." We tend to listen to, pay attention to those who agree with our own positions and discount those who do not. This is true regardless of the subject matter. This is why it is so difficult to reach and change people's minds. There is also the accompanying phenomenon of "belief perseverance." That is the tendency to cling to our own beliefs even in the face of directly contradictory evidence. The human mind is an amazing organ!

That is a good question. I am a Christian but some people go a little too far. I feel the bible is not meant to take literally and it drives me nuts when people do. Do you know how many different people wrote their version of the stories? Each book is according to Matthew, Mark, Luke, etc.... To take it literally and believe every single word written is ludicrous! I think it is another case of the loudest screamers get the most attention.

Because they are looking for someone who supports their already-formed opinion, not an actual factual answer to their "question".
Not all questioners ask in this way, though, and you can usually tell by the way the question is worded.
No offense, but your question has a bit of an "agree with me" undertone as well. It's human nature. And you can probably tell by my response that I happen to agree with you. The loudest screamers may get the most attention, but in my opinion, the (real) best answers get the most respect.

Because in the religion sections, most people aren't asking questions. They're using this as a chance to impose their beliefs on others, then put a question mark at the end of their statement. And the best answer is the one that agrees with them. As with most organized religion, you're only right if you agree with them.

Well you notice, I have a hindrance with probably the most matters you stated on this query. For illustration, you appear to be watching for highbrow stimulus through discovering an exciting view factor rather of looking for to discover the reality approximately what you're asking. That is of path your prerogative however individually I attempt to supply solutions that I recognise are proper rather of simply telling men and women what I suppose they would discover exciting. Another factor that you just say you're watching for is an reply that's no longer "biased". What does that imply precisely? Does that imply that if a individual solutions a query within the faith phase and so they quote the Bible then they've a bias considering that they suppose that God's Word is the superb repository of reality? As on your grievance approximately deficient spelling, I could factor out that men and women who come to Yahoo Answers to invite questions are through default admitting that they undergo from lack of information. If you do not have the endurance to manage men and women's shortcomings then you're no longer going to have what it takes to coach any individual who's missing in skills. In regards to men and women who select solutions as first-class solutions considering that they prefer to proportion of their praises for God, even as I can fully grasp that propensity, as a Christian I select solutions as first-class solutions situated upon how good a individual has performed in supplying correct and precise expertise that pertains to the query that has been posed. But to each and every his or her possess, for as it's written... Who are you to move judgment at the servant of yet another? It is earlier than his possess grasp that he stands or falls. And he'll be upheld, for the Lord is competent to make him stand. Romans 14:four

Because they follow a faith they can't accept anything that is contradicting to their belief. All they have in tie to their belief is their books. That's why they quote them. They don't rely on other means most of the time because they are taught that god is the answer to everything.
