like everyone said, take cool showers or baths....and when youre out buying aloe, look for one that comes in a spray bottle.
it feels soo good and you dont have to touch your skin. i found it once and never again. but, if you ever find it get it and hold on to it.

Sorry there is no way to take a shower without it hurting. Believe me...I'm a redhead so I've had my fair share of sunburns!! I'll usually just sponge bathe for a few days until the pain subsides, or you can take a cool bath, that always feels good. Good luck!
Oh yeah, and Neutrogena makes this After Sun Treatment. I highly recommend it. It soothes the burn and speeds up the healing process.

the way for your sunburn not to hurt is to take a shower that is kinda cold.. It will make the sunburn feel good.. then after the shower use some coca butter. and it will help you from peeling.

You would want to use cool water.. not cold, not hot. You can also go to the store and look for a product line called "banana boat" they make a 100% pure aloe vera gel that gives IMMEDIATE relief, and helps your skin heal. they have the regular which is green, or you can get a blue one that has a numbing agent in it if your skin is still very sensitive.

There is only so much you can do. ALOE ALOE ALOE! It helps with the soothing and also putting moisture back into what is salvagable of you skin. you can get it (not sticky, and usually smells good) in a gel form at pretty much any store. try walgreens. a couple bucks for a bottle and rub it on like lotion. i like to put mine in the fridge so it's cold when i put it on... one bottle will last you a LONG time. mine is like 2 years old at least!

Try taking a cool shower... or at least the coolest you can stand. Make sure you put aloe vera gel on it that will help soothe the pain. I feel for you, sun burns suck!!

It would be a lot easier to take a bath. The pain would be less because you do not have the water shooting at you.
