If they're made properly, they don't smell at all. Could be a bad cook in that case! I've had them at one of the best restaurants in the Northeastern US and love them---maybe it's the way they make them where you are that's off. They most definitely shouldn't be greasy, rather grilled & tender with a hint of spice.

Or it could just be that you're used to blander food than that. That can alter your perception. If you like sweet things, I would suggest chicken satay (a tasty Southeast Asian treat) One person's delicacy is another person's turn-off, remember that.

I personally hate peas, but people in the UK love them! Doesn't mean I want to feed THEM to council estate sorts. Just a different set of taste buds. I do like them in samosas though, no issue there Mmm.

I totally agree. They are the work of the devil and the smell makes me feel sick. My ex used to have kebabs once a week and the smell lingered in the house for 2 or 3 days after he'd eaten it. Plus it makes your breath smell awful for a day or 2. I could never kiss anyone who had just eaten a kebab, (not even my ex when I was with him lol).

It is not supposed to be consumed while sober, and even while drunk it's more a case of something warm to wipe round your face!
