I've reported this post because it's not even true - this kid has been posting the same trash for the past several days, making up news stories about baseball and cricket.

Take your insecurities and shortcomings back to the cricket board, and let us talk about a game that people here actually care about - not to mention one that takes 3 hours to play instead of 3 days.

First of all, that's a very fat lie. Baseball attendance has been RISING like someone else said before me. That's not all. Minor League Baseball games have been increasing their attendance for the last few years at an astonishing rate. During 2006, more than 100 million people visited baseball parks of any kind in the USA. That's one third of the population. There are cities where attendance to baseball games was even higher than the actual population.

I have to leave now. I'll go watch a cricket game to help me sleep.

Fox???? You actually watch Fox???? And believe what you see???

The fact that you was this on Fox is all that anyone needs to know that's outrageous.

Part of that is because Fox's policy is to ignore the facts, which includes the fact that attendance in baseball has been rising every year for a number of years. Ten years ago, though, shortly after the strike, attendance would still have been down, but it more than recovered that point years ago and has remained rising steadily since.

Josh, are you the least bit familiar with the lyrics of the Gershwin/Gershwin song, "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off"? There'a message there for you, a HUGE one.

FOX!?!?!?!?!??!!?

Worst attendance last 10 years? You might want to check this out:

A record total of 76,043,902 fans attended Major League Baseball games in the 2006 regular season, representing a 1.5 percent increase over the previous record of 74,926,174 in 2005, it was announced today. The overall attendance record has now been broken for three straight years (2004: 73,022,969; 2005: 74,926,174).

Baseball in the different hand is performed interior the States, maximum of Latin u . s . of america, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea. a minimum of a dozen international locations play it professionally and function their very own leagues corresponding to the MLB. in comparison to a handful that play cricket. The Olympics are a comedian tale.

That doesn't surprise me coming from those idiots. There is no way that that will ever happen. Cricket is just slightly less boring than soccer and even though it is very popular in other countries, it will never be accepted here.

This may be true. But don't believe everything you hear. And by someday, that could mean up to 100 years from now. I think America's pastime will start to pick up again. MLB just needs to make it a little more exciting somehow...
