1. Some of the eggs did not make it because of the freeze and cold.
2. Baby penguins dying of cold
3. Female penguins who lost their newborns and tried to steal baby penguins from other females. It is incredible to see that animals too can feel the pain of losing a newborn.
It was a great movie!!!

It's not that big of a deal, honestly. It's a documentary, which doesn't really go into gore and death or anything. The only sad parts are when they show frozen eggs and baby penguins, or that part when a bird tried to eat a baby penguin.

It's a wonderful movie. There is one "child-scary" scene where a sea lion eats a penguin. It happens fast. Not gory!
Sad scenes are when the penguin eggs freeze and no babies are born.
That's about it.

the sadest part is when one of the new born penguins loses his mother so the new born tries to go to another penguin as if it were his mother, and he gets kick out.

The whole movie, it suked! Boring, drawn out lame, sad example of a so called "Motion picture". I give the movie TWO THUMBS DOWN!
