The people attacking the President also are the ones who back Kerry in what he said about the troops. You know the right to vote is a great honor, and these days if you don't get your way you start name calling. Just think how strong this country would be if we back the President on matter if Rep. or Dem.

There is a difference between criticism and just name calling. I certainly don't like everything Bush has done but honestly - I don't think that people would approve of ANYTHING he did. If he announced a troop build up, dems oppose it. Stay the course, oppose it. Bring em home, oppose it - look at Bush's failure etc. It has become cool to name call and shout cliches without giving any real input of your own. Just bellyaching doesn't solve anything.
Not that he's doing the best job, but I am convinced that history (20+ years from now) will be much kinder to him. Presidents like Truman and Johnson were HORRENDOUSLY unpopular towards the end of their presidency. Looking back, Truman especially is seen as a president who had the balls to do what needed to be done even if the public didn't have the stomach for it. We need leaders like that.
If you have no real practical alternative proposals, shut up.

Because Bush is an arrogant tyrant. God help anyone in the world that doesn't do what Bush wants. He has taken it upon himself to rule the world as he sees fit. I voted for him in the first election and I know that I made a HUGE mistake. The world hates us more than they did before 9/11. Even my grandmother who is a staunch republican wishes she could take back her vote! He is the WORST president of all time

As an outsider looking in, I think you're right. The way Americans are bashing their President right now is only giving the impression that you are as messed up as the enemy thinks you are...I know you're not, but where's the patriotism in America gone? You need to stand together as a nation, behind your President, especially during this time of war. Sometimes when I see the bashing of the President by the people of the States, I can't help but think how satisfying it must be for all the Extremists. You're playing right into thier hands guys.

I love President Bush. I can't stand people complaining either. He was an excellent Governor, and a Great President. Let's see how did it start, oh yes. Hanging Tabs, that was fun, Then the day of all days, 9/11, so we all said, "Go get those bad guy's" So he did, and now all these people complain, it just makes me sick. Our troops are all volunteers, and joined the service on their own accord. But people B***H, I can't wait for him to come home to TEXAS and be appreciated.

It is in the nature of people to criticize the ones who make decisions for us. This is magnified when the governing body makes decisions without public input like in our system. To make things worse, Bush has slowly lost all respect from the majority.
It is the people's right to show their disapproval with governmental decision they disagree with in a democracy.

The president is a public figure. Like any public figure, be it the president or Lindsey Lohan, he will be criticized, praised, attacked, revered.

Because of what he does for himself & the oil co's instead of for the people that he is supposed to represent Because of the way he got "elected". Because of all the MAJOR laws that he has knowingly broken, all of the "face" that the u.s. has lost because of his poor choices. We used to be a feared & respected nation- now we play the buffoons

It could be that we feel it's our duty as patriots to defend our country from what we see as perhaps the greatest threat it has ever faced.

Despite what you and others may think, being a patriot doesn't mean blindly approving whatever your government does.
