Computers will do this when there is an application or process that is 'hung up' and won't stop. Take a look at your start up programs (start/programs/startup) or in (start/run/msconfig) and see if there are any deleted programs which may still be 'lingering'.

good luck.

Most likely you hav an application that is running everytime you start up you computer that either can't shut down or never really get started properly. It might be something in the startup folder but it could also be a garbaged up registry. first unistall apps you don't need, second dump stuff from the startup fplder you don't need, third go to download.com and get tuneup utilities or tweaknow and clean up your registry. do a restart (often a system will restart but won't shut down). If it is still acting up make sure you close all appas and hit ctrl+alt+del and see what apps might still be running, if none look at the processes.next. Try shutting down processes that you can figure out (like on my system Outlook is often still running in processes after i cose it. If you are suspicios of something run sear to find the running file - that should help you pick off anything that traces back to a program (not a system file) where you can shut it down.

likely the cooling fan isn't operating. got here about to my spouse's Aspire also. She had it replaced below her prolonged assure. Have a pay interest and word in case you could listen if the fan's operating or no longer and also verify if any warm air is being compelled out by the fan. If no longer, it truly is no longer operating.
