If you ever get those pencils with erasers that just don't erase, but rather just smudge the writing, how do you get them to erase like they're supposed to?

Just rub the smudge over a rough surface, and when the eraser is white, after the layer gets peeled off, use it to erase the pencil marks.

From my experience, that happens when the pencil is old and the eraser has dried out. You can get a new pencil, or you can try cutting off the tip of the eraser to see if the inner rubber part is less dry. Oh, one other option, don't make mistakes that you have to erase.

Erasers on pencils are usually very cheap.. try investing in a good one... one hint... if the eraser is pink the eraser is most likely cheap
