Someone please tell me I am dreaming, 2 US border guards were sentence to 10 years in prison for what? Shooting a illegal in the buttocks who pulled a gun on them and tried to smuggle 80lbs of marijuana into the US.
The Us attorney general got the illegal to come back and testify after granting immunity from prosecution. As we as a nation gone mad. I would like to hear from conservative and republicans on their view of this event is this a sign of where our nation is heading.
As for liberal democrats it is going to be difficult to respond because your side as already indicated that the would like to grant US citizenship to all of Mexico.

No, but they're stealing it away from us Americans little by little. Dubya and the Republican party won't do anything about it because illegal aliens benefit big business. The minimum wage increase will help fight illegal immigration by making low-paying jobs that illegals usually take, more attractive to Americans. Next step is severely punish businesses that hire illegals.

Trust me, I'm no fan of the illegals by any means BUT get your facts on this shooting. Are we even talking about the same incident here?
Two border guards shot and killed an unarmed Mexican drug smuggler? I saw the Texas prosecutor on TV last night. These border guards (one very high ranking) shot the guy in the back while he was running away. They did not report it, they tried to cover it up. This guy was shot 15 times. Something is seriously wrong here. I would hate to think this is something that ANYONE would condone.
No Mexico isn't purchasing the US, they're stealing it inch by inch and our government is allowing it to happen. It's not the Dems or the Reps, it's everyone on Capitol Hill. Somebody (Big Business) is making a ton of profit off the situation and it MUST BE STOPPED!!

I realize that there is in all cases, two sides to every story. But...the government has been shamefully neglegent in defending their case.
If we as a nation have lost control of the operations of our country,
then its all over. Criminal rights overshadow the rights of the victim, that is unless the "victim" is a member of one of the many minorites who are so unfairly oppressed.
If we cant find a way to hold our leaders accountable for their decisions then its time to vacate what once was a wonderful country.
