No. The kiss of death for the Republican party will be the RINOs in Congress.

I don't know, it shouldn't be. I am a Conservative to the core and I think every ones freedom is worth fighting for.The thing about Bush is he really isn't a conservative and neither was his congress. I am for compassion to those in need in our country but not for allowing unrestricted migration from Mexico.
i think if we had a good conservative governor come forward he would do well. The problem is we don't seem to have one. Tancreado while being from congress seems at the moment the best candidate and may be able to pull the base back together. The overspending and lack of attention to the illegals and of course all of the setbacks with the war hurt but conservatives will not be happy with democrats.
Or worst problem is that we do hold or representative accountable and will vote them out if they don't represent us.We don't like the idea of enduring our own stabbing us in the back just to hold majority.

I believe that because of Bush, only the Democrats can defeat the Democrats in '08 (don't laugh, they've done it before). If they (democrats) run a smart campaign, they will be unstoppable. But if they shoot themselves in the foot, all the Bush mistakes will be quickly forgotten by a fickle electorate.
Oh yeah, Just like Gore in 2000, don't look for the Republican nominee for '08 to ask Dubya to campaign for him (or her).

I don't think so. If the Dems ran someone who had half a brain then the Bush administration may have pissed off enough people to make a difference but I think this election like the last will be take the lesser of two evils. If it comes down this way I think it almost assures John or Rudie will win.

nail in the coffin. whatever you want to call it. i believe conservatives have had enough of neocons. the republican party will be under as much pressure as dems to put up a viable candidate. for the american people as a whole,it makes little difference. neither party is for the people, but those that practice blind partisanship ignore that fact. time for americans to put america before party.

I don't expect to see him campaigning for many Congress candidates, or for the GOP ticket. He's likely to keep a low profile and skulk out of view.
He'll probably take a six months vacation starting in July 2008.

He won't stand on the soap box for many candidates but he still has good influence in some districts.
