If you are getting bad headaches and your vision is blurred....if you are swollen, like your retaining water all over, including your face, she might be checking you for toxemia...if so, and you catch it in time, before your blood pressure goes sky high, everything should be alright...I don't think its necessarily an std, it could also just be an infection from anything really...believe me they will contact asap if not keep calling her. God Bless and Good Luck

If it was an STD she wouldn't have said infection. There are many differnt types of infections the body can get and most of them are not cause by STDs. Although I think that I would go to the emergency room with if you keep experiencing these symptoms. These are serious symptoms and they can test for this "infection" Right away, send it to the hospital lab and have the results within a couple hours (for most tests). You doctor doesn't sound like she really cares about you or your baby.

Take a deep breath and relax. First of all, if it was an STD, they would have to take a vaginal swab... STD's (usually) don't show up in UA's. It could be a bladder infection which isn't uncommon among pregnant ladies. You're only going to make yourself sick to keep stressing about it. Wait for your test results to come back before worrying so much & being that you've only been with one partner I would sit down and have a talk with him, just to put your mind at ease.

With the blurred vision, might be gestational diabetes, do you feel that you get tired really fast after eating? Have you been tested for your sugar levels yet for gestational diabetes? I think you should talk to your doctor and state that you are looking for more information, what they are looking for in your urine. I know I asked my doctor everything that concerned me, and he was very happy to answer all questions, he never kept anything from me. Im sure if it was something serious, he would of told you, or at least we hope he would.

oh sweetie i am so sorry that the Dr wasn't more specific on what is going on. Do not worry, if she was concerned over a STD she would have to do another PAP smear to double check, not a urine test. She is most likely checking to see if you have a urine infection. Just lie down and relax. Try not to overwork yourself because what you need most is rest. Take a nice bubble bath and stay relax. Good luck!

Well, I am a bit surprised that they didn't tell you what they were testing for.. But if they took a urine sample maybe they could be testing for a UTI.. I'm not sure, but I had one when I was pregnant as well. Either way, if they were really concerned I think they would have told you.. At least they should have. Good luck!! You are almost there!!

It sounds like it could be a bladder or kidney infection. I doubt it is an STD....don't panic just wait for the results and go from there. Good Luck

Probably just a urinary tract infection.....or a yeast infection.
Or it could mean that you are about to give birth in the next couple of days. Lots of women start feeling wierd a few days before they give birth.

Relax...it's probably a urinary tract infection, or bacterial vaginosis, which is common in pregnancy and a result of the changing hormone levels.

Could it be gestational diabetes? That just jumped out at me b/c of the blurred vision. Have you been really thirsty? That's another sign. I hope everything works out okay for you! God bless! :)
