Freedom of speech is freedom of speech, you cant make exclusions. That wouldn't be much of a freedom. With this privilege comes the good and the ugly. I like to think that the good will out number the ugly. Negative talk only shows what an idiot that person is anyway.

many human beings professing an excellent variety of ideologies communicate of it, yet so a techniques that's been purely a variety of of communicate. as long as class, race, ethnicity, gender, and so on proceed to be suitable, then freedom for all won't exist. If all those issues grew to alter into secondary to easily being human beings, we would be so lots extra advantageous off. i'm not suggesting that everybody is an analogous, we are all different, in my view, yet while we purely respected one yet another as human beings and respected each and each others' rights, we would be closer than we are actually to freedom for all.

Yes it does. It allow activist groups to make their speeches all around. From the Black Panthers to the KKK. Heck listen to the mayor of New Orleans, "This City will be a Chocolate City, This City will be a Majority African American City by the end of the day."

Well, it should and a few years ago it would have been but there is 'No Freedom of Speech', anymore , you have to be very careful what you say now, as you could be classed as racist. God only knows what this country is coming to, I think it's a sin that you can't even teach your child 'The baa baa bl*ck sheep' nursery rhyme !!

There's a fine line between discussion and ridicule. But freedom of speech should be to discuss and share opinions without causing offence. So in most circumstances it should be fine.

You can probably talk in any way you want but the rules governing a civilized society will most definitely frown on certain expressions. You gotta be careful when you are murdering someone and not call them any sort of name though because that bumps up the sentence to that of a hate crime. Although now there are starting to be laws that try to quell bullying, but that's predominately for underaged kids and rights don't always apply to them.

It's not freedom of speech otherwise is it? It annoys me when you hear people preaching about freedom of speech who then condemn people for exercising that right (which seems to be happening on that sh it TV show which shall remain nameless)...

Its seems as though Freedom of Speech is only allowed as long as it doesn't offend or upset anyone... If it does then gawd help you! Seriously though if you think that your opinion may upset someone, then its usually better to keep it to yourself, as its not nice to upset people and you will probably experience some kind of backlash!
