I`m doing a school project, and my topic is legalizing the use of marijuna. I need some advice of how they SHOULD legalize it. any ideas ?

I don't know how they should legalize it, but I know it is not as bad as they make it sound. Have you ever heard of someone selling their TV for a joint (like a crackhead)? Or of someone high on pot and driving 100 MPH running from the law (like a drunk driver)? There is many ways to look at this. Most pot heads are very nice people who wouldn't hurt a fly, and some people could probably fare better in life if they smoked out!!

It is legal in some parts of the world. It will not become legal in this country for sometime because it is political suicide for a politician to support that in a campaign. No, pot is not the most productive drug on the planet nor is it really dangerous. It just really seems pointless to spend billions fighting something that grows out of the ground. My personal opinion is to regulate it and tax it. Make money instead of spending.

Marijuana should be legalized in the US along with other drugs.
We tie up our law enforcement and court dockets and place thousands of people in prison every year. Why? To try to keep people form doing drugs. But it hasn't worked. People are still doing them. If we legalize (or at least decriminalize) drugs, we can take the BIG MONEY that dealers are getting, tax it and use our law enforcement resources for real crime (murder, kidnapping, burglary,etc). We should concentrate our anti-drug efforts in prevention instead.

School project (reform school)? If you use pot you will do prison. Why dont you put your efforts into politics or becoming an co. executive where you can break the law and not worry about going to prison.
