I'm a somewhat newly single mom in Fort Worth. Long story!! None the less, I'm looking for more friends that have children around her age for us both to hang out with. They don't have to be single ofcourse. I'm 23. She's 12 months. I'm also due at the end of February with her little brother. I'm not used to going out or anything so I wouldn't know where to start to find people to hang out with. I'm just trying to get back into the swing of things. Thanks!!

I do go to church but there aren't very many people my age with children. I don't have any female cousins. My brother is in VA. My friends whom I love dearly are currently thinking they are on Sex in the city!! LOL I choose not to do that. Even after I have my child. I don't think that's the way a mommy should act like that. They just happen to be single with no kids. Plus Im moving soon and I will be too far from them.

Try meetups.com. I met a great group in my area and they really keep it safe.

Ya know, my friend just told me about our local library. I signed my 4 yr old and my 8 month old up. They have story time, games, playtime with other children, and we can rent movies and all kinds of stuff for free! See if they have that in your area. I go and hang out with the other parents while the kids play! It's really cool. Oh yeah, they have the web there too! For the adults and children!!

I don't know...join a group at your church, take a class, call some of your old friends( they still remember you), call one of your cousins....you have so many options. good luck.
