When a guys says hes going to be happy with me getting married but hes not going to be happy what does that mean?
Is it becuz its not going to be him with me?
My ex said this to me the other nite cuz he told me that i need to go out and find my mr. right cuz he told me that he never wants to get married or have kids or any other gf again.
I told him i would get married if it would make him happy and he said that he be happy for me but he wouldnt be happy............
Hes confusing me!

Do what makes you happy.
He's your ex for a reason and the 'ex' means he's excluded from being a consideration in anything you do.

Sounds like a very decent young man. Basically he is telling you that he never wants to marry and have children. But he understands that is what you want from life and wants you to haveit. He is not going to give it to you. By saying i will be happy for you but not happy for me means I have the right thing for you but I will miss you!

All he is saying is move on make yourself happy. He has made it clear that he does not want you or a family and the best thing you can do is find someone who wants that with you. He just saying that nothing and no one can make him happy himself but he will feel better if you move on and find happiness yourself. He sounds depressed, but never the less you definitely need to move on pronto.

It take a strong person to tell you they can't give you what you asking for in a relationship because some people will hold on to you for selfish reasons and don't even want you in that loving way. Just to make sure that got somebody even if it isn't who they really want to be with.
I think he cares for you a lot he just want you to find what or who you want in life because he don't want to hinder you from finding true love even if it hurts him. I know you love him but he don't have enough love in him for you to marry you and have children with you.

First off he wants no commitment. Second; why the hell would you get married if it made HIM happy?
Go find someone else. He's telling you the same thing.

He's emotionally blackmailing you. You are engaged. What this other guy is thinking should not matter to you. You are responsible for YOUR happiness. If he made you happy - you'd be marrying him. You are not. Worry about what's going on in your fiance's mind. THAT is what should matter.
