Which type of Dreambox?

What is the difference between what the different types of Dreambox can do.
I need to be able to record and to pause/rewind live tv. Would like to be able to patch the receiver if required. What is the minimum spec required?

(please no links to the Dreambox website...an easy way to get points, and I can look it up myself)

If you are into avoiding susbscriptions then the hackers favourite at the moment is the DM7000. You need to get a hard drive for it though.
