If you are going to drive 8 hours there is no need to increase your liquid intake prior to starting out. During the journey you should take a 15 minute rest period every 2 hours, you can then have a drink, non-alcoholic and preferably with a reasonable sugar level. Coffee, coke etc, if not stick to good old water

If you mean alcohol - none. There's no way of telling how alcohol affects your mg/l. Some people can have 2 or 3 drinks and still be 'under the limit', some peopls can have 1 drink and be unfit to drive.

Depends on how big your bladder is. The more drinks you have, the more often you'll have to stop (unless you go Dumb & Dumber style) making an 8 hr trip into a 12 hr trip.

no drink is going to help you, plan for stops like the law advises, a coffee here and there is helpful, your better wired than tired, but neither is very good, and certainly no alcohol, but i dont think that's what you meant by drink anyway.
bottles of water are always a good idea too!

erm, none. Or one at the most if they're alcoholic.
If you're talking soft drinks, you might just want to take along a few bottles of water and sip occasionally throughout the journey. Otherwise if you drink it all beforehand you'll need to keep stopping for the toilet!

If you are talking about alcoholic beverages, none. Drinking and driving is just asking for trouble, big time. If you mean soda, water, juice, milk, it would depend on how often you want to stop to use the bathroom.

!st depends if you are the one driving, next how much you weigh, and then your tollerance, most advisable though, I would say 2 beers or 1 shot a hour. Or as many as you deem necessary to keep the car on the road.....

If you're driving - I'd stick with water.
If you are the passenger - drink up - makes the trip sooo much more interesting.
